Burgos and Rome

May 24, 2011

We spent the weekend in Burgos two weeks ago. We visited small village called Cervatos to see the church of San Pedro de Cervatos, we went to ¨La Fuentona de Fontibre¨ to take pictures of the source of Ebro river (the biggest river in Spain) and then we spent the last day enjoying the cattle show in Polientes. Although we didn't do hiking or climbing but for us it was such an adventurous weekend spending days with five children (three little kids and two babies). Luckily everything was under control; no problems with the kids, the rural house (El Rincón de Gadea) was nice especially the owners who prepared us wonderful dinner, and the places we had been to were amazing.

The source of Ebro river comes from this small hollow between the rocks.
...and these are pictures from Rome. I was there for a workshop and only had so little time to enjoy the city in the evening. Anyway, I did not expect that I would have the chance to walk around Rome. Many thanks to all new people that I've met there who took me with them to see Piazza di Spagna, the Trevi Fountain, The Pantheon and of course The colosseum.
